METHOD

To prepare the fried calamari, start by cleaning the calamari. Wash and dry them thoroughly, then cut them into rings, keeping their tips intact. Immerged the calamari in the Buttermilk and keep them in the fridge for 30 minutes, after that drain the calamari from the Buttermilk and dust them in flour in a large bowl; if desired, you can add a little ground pepper to the flour for extra flavor.

Fry the calamari in plenty of hot oil. When the calamari are golden brown (this will take a few minutes), drain them on paper towels.

Serve the fried calamari while still hot, adding salt to taste.
